Yes, we almost had to cancel this year's convention. Our Public Show and Junior showcase venue, the Fort Collins Lincoln Center is closed for some overdue renovations. We had a very difficult time finding an alternate venue, and we almost "pulled the plug," but:

If this will be your first Magic in the Rockies, it's well worth your time and money. If you've attended MITR before, you know you're getting the most "bang for your buck" of any magic convention. anywhere. The economy prevented some of you from attending last year's MITR, but don't miss this year. To that end, convention registration and the Marriott room rate are the same as last year.

Look at the enclosed schedule and you'll see some old freinds, and you'll be introduced to some new ones. We've put together another All-World line-up. Between the headliners, lectures, dealers, and special events, Magic in the Rockies 2010 will have something for everyone. Take a good look at what we have planned for Thursday, September 9, extra lectures and a very special event, a late-night Séance. (There's also a Wednesday night magic show in Old Town Fort Collins for early bird convention attendees.)

He's back! Jeff McBride just can't stay away from MITR. Check out the enclosed flyer about his all new "Master Class" workshop. Among the many other headliners is Sandy Marshall, author of the book about his father, "Beating a Dead Horse: The Life and Times of Jay Marshall." Sandy will close the convention reminiscing and sharing humorous anecdotes about Jay Marshall.

Please read the registration form carefully, as there's much to fill out on that little card. The information we're requesting is important for us to ensure that your convention experience is "first class." Register for the convention package before August 15 and you will be entered into a drawing for a free pass to attend the Jeff McBride "Master Class" workshop.
